Binawarranha is a Gamilaraay, Yuwaalayaay, and Yuwaalaraay dictionary app that means "attentive" or "paying attention." It currently includes 2,086 example sentences and a verb builder to help you create complex verb forms accurately and see them in sentences. This app is a work in progress, with more verb forms, context for words, and example sentences being added regularly.
Developed over the past few years by Reuben Mellor in spare time as a passion project with no funding, then app has then been published by Gambadul Aboriginal Corporation, based in Tamworth, NSW. The information within is all publicly available, mainly in the original dictionary compiled by John Giacon. However, the new dictionary aims to provide more context for words, more example sentences, and updates to outdated explanations for terms.
